The aluminium extendable rescue tripod provides an easily erected lifting frame for positioning over manholes and entry hatches. The telescopic legs are fitted with rubber safety grips and spiked feet for secure placement even on slippery surfaces.
The collapsed height of only 1.77 metres and light weight of 18.2kg make it very easy to transport. The frame has a load capacity of 160kg and the legs are linked by chains to prevent excessive spreading.
The Roped Positioning Device (RPD) is a light weight (1.3kg) yet very durable man-riding block which can be operated easily by the person being raised or lowered as well as by a supervisor at the top of a manhole for example. The simple rope locking device can be released by pulling down on the rope and taking the weight off the block and will re-engage if the rate of decent exceeds 1.0mtr/second thereby acting as a fall/arrest/block. The R.P.D. has a maximum load capacity of 160kg and can be supplied for total travel of 7 or 15 metres.
The rescue harness with its high visibility jerkin was especially designed as a rescue harness for use with breathing apparatus or as a general drop harness. The jerkin design prevents the webbings becoming entangled if handled or stored carelessly and makes donning the harness a quick and simple operation. The harness is kitemarked and approved to BS 1397 type D & E.
