The Sabre Elsa range of escape sets are designed to be carried or located in potentially hazardous area, or in confined spaces for donning and immediate evacuation in an emergency or when gas is detected.
These escape sets have a 10 minute duration cylinder with a pressure reducing valve and manual or automatically operated on/off valve supplying a positive pressure demand valve which is activated by the wearers first inhalation. The demand valve is attached to a full facemask with elasticated headstraps making it quick and easy to put on and very comfortable in use.
The Elsa is available in a carrying bag which will keep the set and mask clean and dust free but still provide easy access for immediate use.
The new Elsa sprint escape set uses an aluminium cylinder and reducing valve with a simple pull on/off valve which is operated when the bag is opened. Using an escape set with a positive pressure full facemask and demand valve has the advantage that it will give a very high level of protection and will also supply sufficient air when it is required for the extra effort required in safe escape situations.
Where the potential escape route is short and easy and where few steps are to be climbed, the Elsa constant flow smoke hood may be an acceptable alternative to the demand valve fed face mask systems. the transparent hood is supplied with air from a 10 minute duration cylinder via a pressure and flow reducing valve which will ensure a constant flow of air for 10 minutes.
