The Sabre airline breathing apparatus is designed for long duration use where the highest levels of respiratory protection are required in industrial and process operations.
The equipment is 'CE' marked to European Standard EN139 : 1993 and EN402.
The Centair is a demand valve fed positive pressure compressed airline breathing apparatus.
The equipment uses a lightweight panoramic vision facemask manufactured from neoprene or silicone, fitted with a compact positive pressure demand valve. The demand valve incorporates a first breath mechanism to activate the air supply. The facemask is approved to EN136.
The Flite is basically the same as the Centair but has the addition of a 5 or 10 minute personal escape cylinder to enable a user to exit a hazardous area in the case of an airline supply failure. Recent HSE guidance states that where a user is in an environment which is immediately dangerous to life or health including oxygen deficient atmospheres an emergency breathing facility with an independent air supply should be supplied. This requirement is fulfilled by using the Flite with it's integral escape facility.
HOSES - The hoses to supply airline breathing apparatus are available in PVC or heat resistant anti-static hypalon material. BEH hoses comply with the requirements of European Council Directive 89/686/EEC and the EN139 standard.
The Flite has a fully adjustable bandolier type harness, with the air hose shackled to the harness preventing supply hoses pulling on the demand valve. The 9.5mm bore PVC or anti-static heat resistant hoses are fitted with breathing air connectors with built-in locking device for extra safety.
